I am switching from a sealed box and want to design a ported box for my 03 civic sedan ex. I have 39W x 13H x 16D outside diameters. I have 2 kicker s12l7 w/750w RMS each. I will have a divider in between the subs and have the ports on the outside of the subs.
The spec book for the subs says: 2.5 cu.ft. + port, 2.5x13.25" port, 16.5" long, I am not sure how to adjust this to the dimensions that i have to work with. I dont think I can get a bigger box to fit in the trunk. Do they fit better in when you slide them in through the back seat or when they are put in the trunk?
I also was wondering if it would sound better if I went with the sealed because i could be closer to the max size for sealed, but if i go ported i will be slightly lower than the "street bass" moderate size box.
Also will polyfill still help with ported?
