I want it to sound good in my 07 new body extended cab silverado.

I usually buy off of crutchfield. What set up should I go with? I don't know shit about systems. I'm looking to spend around $350 total. I have a box and wiring already. Here's what I picked out, just need an amp.

what amp would go with this set up?

I think if you wanted to get a good front stage and make it a bit more simple just get a 5.25 component set. It might be cheaper, and will offer better performance.

I think the Polk Audio DB line is a good line, but listen to them for yourselves. other people may mention something different, but there are plent worse speaker lines out there.

The subwoofer is OK, thats about it. I think if you were to get a Mach5 or Alpine woofer you would be happier with its performance.

take a look at the mach5 line. HERE

as for an amp, check the classifieds for a nice 4 channel or a two channel and a monoblock

Have you bought the items listed above yet?

Just out of curiosity, why did you choose tweeters to go along with coaxials? ....why not just get component speakers?

And why not 6.5" speakers like what's listed at Crutchfield?

Yeah I don't know much so I just picked something out. I'll check the classifieds.

crutchfield is expensive but there customer service is awesome....so u can go ALOT cheaper from ebay or classifieds here but i dunno how u personally feel about that
True, i don't have much time to wait on ebay. I'd rather go with crutchfield.

No I have not. I don't know why honestly. I know the truck needs tweeters, there is none in mine. SHould I just go with the 6.5"'s?

I'm basically asking for help in choosing something on there. I want tweeters for my highs. I would like to replace some of the factory speakers, so i guess 6.5's will be needed. And I need 2 10" subs and an amplifier. Thanks guys.

Speakers: PG RSd65cs - $129 shipped

Sub: Kicker 05CVR10-2 $77 shipped

Amp: Cadence TXA-3004 $129 shipped or TXA-6004 (preferred, since the RSd's will love 130-150w rms each side and you can set the gain for the sub to deliver 300-450w rms) for $179 shipped.

Use channels 1 and 2 stereo for the comps and 3+4 bridged mono for the sub. Wire the sub in series so it presents the bridged channels with a 4 ohm load.

Those are all authorized dealers for the respective brands. So for $335-385 to your door, I think it would blow away the system you spec'd out.

[edit]...just saw you need two 10's.

I think for the money spent, yeah, it should sound pretty good.
Note the size of that amp..... just some food for thought.
what does that mean.....i guess for me to wonder where I'll mount the sucker?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif
