First of all I am glad to be back and even more glad my System is Installed after posting numerous questions for years (2003-2005)....Here is my Deal....
Basically I had my System Installed about a year ago in My Project 91 Caprice (Impala) Wagon. 3 Arc Audio 250CXL amps powering POLK seperates in Front 6X9" Pioneeres in Rear and subs)..although the SQ is Awesome..The 10" Image Dynamics subs were EXTREMELY under powered (350Watt RMS each) and it limited my pleasure. I only had about 120 Watss going to Each Sub and the Distortion killed my mids and highs........I purchased an ARC AUDIO 1500DR AMP 6 months ago and just replaced the weak amp powering my subs with this Arc 1000 watt Upgrade with the turn of some screws...........YET.....Something ain't right??????But close.....
I do not know if it is the ohm set up (it is capable of 1ohm load up to 4ohms)...But I highly suspect it is the adjustments on the Crossover slope,Gain etc......
What I expected to be Hard hitting and Tight Bass is distorted, rumbly and does not have great continuity with the rest of the System. I can feel the amp is Definitely Powering these Subs much heavier...yet without adjusting the headsets acoustics to ridiculous levels...the Bass response sounds like Crap....
The Subs are IDQ V2 D.4...and I realize that set up is not Ideal...but as far as I can tell from experience etc.......I have the Amp set to proper modes for this bridged set up...ANY ADVICE WOULD BE FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!
Thanks
