need help with my T1

Right now i have my Rockford T1 in a 3.5 cu ft ported box. Im not getting a punchy bass at all. If i put it in a closed enclosure what do i need to take into consideration? The Rec. cu ft for a closed enclosure is 1.25cuft. I plan on it being inverted also. The specs are:

You answered your own question. The recommended ported box size for that sub is aparently 2.25 cubes, while yours is 3.5 cubes. Going larger will increase low freq extension and hurt upper extension.

Your ported box design seems to be the problem, not the fact that it IS ported.
