Diamond Audio Licks Nuts

So many of you have been helping me search for subs for a couple years now as it is very difficult to find anything that will fit in my truck.

So I finally I went ahead and ordered some D6's which diamond advertises as 5.6 inches mounting depth on their website. I also found this information all over the internet. So I purchase them and have them shipped with insurance to my house.

Next day someone on titantalk tells me that they are not 5.6 inches they already went through this and have 2 worthless subs taking up space in their home because both the diamond website AND manual for them are incorrect.

So I contact the seller the day before they ship out, but it's already too late. I have to eat the $55-60 shipping charge and they had the delivery stopped.

I contacted Diamond and they asked me if I sent them an email regarding this problem. No I had not it was someone else who was going through the same problem! All they could do was tell me sorry bud we will correct the mistake.

To top it off I just purchased a D5 1200.1 amp to run them which I have absolutely no use for now. And I refuse to run any product from a company that has screwed me over like this. What a waste of $600, thank god I did not purchase this crap@retail.

I will never Recommend or purchase another Diamond Audio Product as long as I live. Screw Diamond Audio! There is a huge difference between 5.6 and 6.25 inches of mounting depth! Hell it's deeper than they list the 12" version.

In addition I have already wasted 100's trying to get subs that would fit and I'm back to square one.............

Anyone want to buy a 1200.1? I don't have it yet but it will go up for sale before I even remove it from the shipping box.

ummm...

Power Handling NOM/MAX: 500/1000 Watts

Sensitivity (2.83V/1m): 84 dB SPL

Freq. Response: 23-250 Hz

Mounting Depth: 6.2 in.

Diameter: 9.2 in

Directly from their site. The d3 is the sub that has the 5.6in mounting depth, not the d6.

Edit: I quite like all the DAT gear I own. Two sets of M6 comps, an M6mkII 12", and after tomorrow a D61500.1 amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

They must have just made the correction.....Too late me me. I saved a copy of the PDF and a screenshot. I will post it if you do not believe me. It even says 5.6 inches in the manual! I DID NOT MISS THIS IT WAS NOT THERE.

Here is a link to the PDF, as of yesterday no mounting depths were listed on the website. Those specs were not there...

Here is a link to the thread where someone else has the same problem

I will not be running this amp as it will just remind me of how they f*screwed me over.

Maybe they can change my mind my paying for the incurred shipping charges their mistakes have caused they will be recieving a letter.

Mine says 6.2 in the manual, and 5.6 for the 10. Their costumer service isn't top notch I have to say, they haven't contacted me back after 3 emails I've sent... but I do like their products.

Well I left a voice mail with the owner or someone that handles these situatios. If they pickup my shipping charges I will take what I said back about them being a bad company. In fact they would be exactly the opposite. I realize they just changed owners and they are trying to fix diamonds mistakes in the past, but it is costing me money....

Yea I'm talking about the 10" D6's I was so pissed I forgot to write it, I could have purchased a second AA Assassin for the amount I'm losing for shipping. the 10" D6 is NOT 5.6 inches.

Sorry not selling the subs I have already recieved a refund from the seller minus shipping charges and they will not even make it to my address as they have already contacted the post office and are having them returned.
