Need help with FJ40 Install

I have a 1973 FJ40 and want to put some kind of simple setup in it.

I would like to leave the original radio in for a clean, classic look.

I think the best way to go is a bluetooth, headunitless setup and I will play music from my phone. For that, I am thinking the best option is a marine/atv/golf cart controller and amp. I will then build some boxes for 6x9s that go under the jump seats in the back.

Am I on the right track?

The amp would probably go under the seat and I'm not quite sure about where the controller will go.
