Hi guys, recently bought 2 RE audio Se/X 15's. A friend had a free band pass box, minus the plexiglass. I put a 1/4" plexi in it.. too thin :p Before i spend the money on 3/8 or 1/2 inch plexi, I'm trying to decide if this box is even worth it or If I should just go sealed box and be done with it. I noticed it won't hit frequency below say 45hz very well.. The port's currently are 2 round 4"W x 4.5"L on each side. I'm guestimating the airspace behind the subs are around 1.5 cu ft.

What size ports could I run to get the tuning atleast a little lower. When I use a calculator it shows i either need a much longer port at 4" or go to a skinnier port??? I'm lost help a brother out.
