need help with alpine amp

I have a alpine 4 way amp running 75 rms and the thing is great when it works. The oddest thing happens to it during the winter it will not send any power to the speakers, the amp light is on and I do have another amp hooked up to the same line and that one is working just fine.

Like i said the amp works great in the summer and when the car gets heated up it will work but beyond that its dead in the water. I was always under the assumption that cold weather helps these things out. Does anyone have any ideas to either troubleshoot the problem or maybe even fix it? thank you

it takes around a hour to a hour and a half to turn on and thats when the car is fully warmed up. Also if that was even the problem then why would my other amp work and that one would have to warm up?

Is the amp you are speaking of a MRD-345??The Alpine digital amp?It is hard to to diagnose it without openining it up.Maybe the internal fan is blowing frozen air on the duoble layer board so it is hard for the warm-up of the internal components?? How cold is the enviroment you are speakig of? Alpine50.........................

the amp is a alpine MRP-F600 4 channel amp. i live in western mass so the temp usually gets pretty cold in the winter, coldest would be about -5, but the amp will not work in any weather that is below 30F.

i've got a f450 and it has the same problem too mine doesnt take that long to warm up though only 15 to 20 minutes at the most ive talked to other people who thought it mine be going into protect mode but i dont know

If you have a 600f Alpine 4 channel amp---your specs are 100 rms @ 4 ohms/125 rms@ 2 ohms.Check your ground wire for the 4 channel amp.Is it getting wet and freezing?Check the remote turn-on wire,may be loose,giving an intermittent connection.The Alpine amp that has 75-rms is your mrp-345-digital amp..........Alpine50
