Need help with a trash bag problem

Well, my mom was doing the lawn yesterday while I was at school and it just so happened that she left a trash bag under my car. I had to pick up something for a friend today so took my car for a spin and when I got to my friends house I noticed the smell of something like burning tires from underneath my car. I check under my car and what do I see, I see the trash bag was wrapped around my muffler and exhaust and melted on to so it now stuck under my car. I tried to take it off but since I really didn't have anything to pull it off with I had to drive home with it on.

I got home and asked my mom if she knew anything about the trash bag. She said she was cleaning up the lawn and one of the bags blew under my car but didn't pay attention to it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

Well, I got about half of it off now but there is still a lot stuck to the pipe. Does anybody know how to get it off my muffler and exhaust? I don't know if anybody has any experience with this but I want to get it off since it stinks pretty bad when the muffler is hot. I tried scrapping it off with a knife but I can't get anymore off. Any help with be appreciative.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

I would try a hair dryer or heat gun. And try heating it up and scraping it off. That's the only way I have ever been able to get crap like that off. Most of the time with me it's the rolls of plastic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks Ramos. I use my Mom's blow dryer (she owes me anyway). It got most of it off the the muffler now. The only problem is that where my exhaust pipe bends. It seem that most of the plastic is at the part. I gotta go back later and scrape the rest. At least it doesn't smell as much anymore.

I was going to let it burn off to but the smell was too bad. I couldn't even roll my windows down. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I didn't care about how it looked. I just wanted to get some of it off to get the smell out. The trashbag just made the underbody smell badly. Whatever is left on it I don't care about it now. My van sits higher than a sedan so it's a lot easier to smell. The bag can stay there for ever if it wasn't for the smell.
