need help with a problem!?

starting yesterday, i turned on my truck and when i did my speaker went crazy and played some massive loud bass. I don't really know how to describe it. it also makes a loud "thump" noise when i turn my truck off. Is this a wiring problem or can anyone help me out. thanks

Are the speakers amp'd, or are they just hooked up directly to your head unit? Do you have the volume on your hu turned up really high, or the gain on your amp turned up really high?

ok i didn't check about the gain on the amp i forgot i will do that tomorrow but i did get a ground loop and when i hooped it up my amp didnt even get a signal so i will return that tomorrow..but anyway i redid all my power and ground wires today and still have the same problems...its really gettin aggravating

Make sure you get a good ground connection. I made my ground on one of the bolts for the seats and even after sanding it down I get a thump noise when the amp turns off too. Its not too loud though. I may try making my ground at the seat belt bolt instead but yea check that ground of yours too

ok i will check that when i get home i do have it ground to the seat bolt, so maybe, HOPEFULLY thats the problem and a different ground place will help
