I was trying to find the future value, which would give you the total spent on the stereo. This would help you get the amount of interest paid by subtracting the cost of the stereo.

But I ended up getting something like 1 billion, which is very wrong needless to say.

 
$50 + 1.75% = $50.875

$50.875 x 12months = $610.50yearly

$610.50 x 5years = 3052.50total without down payment

$3052.50 + $600 down = $3652.50 total

Grand Total Of :

$3652.50
