Need help with a different setup

I drive a 2003 saab 9-5 aero with a 7 speaker factory radio, the previous owner has installed a rockford fosgate (three sixty integration) along with some component MB quartz speakers (all 7) along with the processors for them these are being ran by a 1000 watt alpine VR amp 4/3/2 channel amp. Also had a 12" rockford Punch HE sub being driven by a punch 350S subwoofer. this thing was clean and loud . long story short blew the rockford so decided on getting a /rockford fosgate P3 4 Ohm dual voice coil subwoofer and wire this to my kenwood 9104 D amp instead of using the rockford amp. Figure this setup would be extremley loud. Well I have very very little bass even after adjusting the amp and double checked the wiring I have the sub wired to 2 ohms and the amp is not blown just seems weak... Any ideas.

Check your rca, set the gain. You can test by using rca out from a music player or other device.

the kenwood amp isn't even in the same class as the old fosgate amp.get a better amp

Rca's are good, would you suggest that I use the old amp or if that wont work with the new sub what amp would you recommend, also does the rockford three sixty have to be used with a rockford amp?

the 360 can be used with any amp.its just a processor for oem integration , how much power do you need at what ohm rating ..the kenwood amps just aren't very good amps , the ratings are very inflated if you know what i mean

Was wondering on the kenwood amp their is a phase switch should this be switched over or not? Also would it make a difference if I wire the P3 DVD 4ohm sub to an 8 ohm configuration or should i just get another amp and if so what do you recommend price is between 200-300 for an amp
