Need Help with a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder !!!

Hey my friend has a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder.

He has an aftermarket alpine deck and just purchased a indash flip out.

His dash is Double Din. Does this mean he can fit both units one ontop of the other?

also

How do we remove the aftermarket deck? He has the digital A/C.. websites say to use the '03 instructions but the thing is a 2000...

does anyone have a link to a good Nissan Pathfinder Forum?

if each unit is a din then both would fit ..

the hu may be mounted with or without a cage depending on the dash its installed in

try installdr.com they are helpful

If the dash piece around the radio is two pieces, then the top piece pops off to reveal two screws, and then the piece around the radio will pop off to expose the radio and its factory brackets, which you will use to mount the new radio and the flip out.

If the dash piece around the radio is 1 piece, then there are two screws at the bottom of the trim bezel, and then the whole piece pops off.

I can't remember if its 99 or 2000 when they changed over from the one piece bezel to the two piece bezel.

I usually use a putty knife to get in between the two pieces of the bezel. Put it in between, and use it to pop the tension clips out on the bottom side of the top bezel, and then work your way around the top bezel until it pops off completely. Once you get the top off, the rest is fairly easy.

Awsome if u think of any other tips let me know!!

is it fairly easy to remove the deck? standard alpine pins?

Also I need to get power for the tv and power inverter.

Whats the easiest way to run a wire from the battery into the cabin?

We installed the deck..

tapped into the a/c lighter power.

all we get is a gray screen no menus.

supposed to get a blue screen.. dunno wtf the matter is.. might have to wire it to the battery...

You definitely need to run a ground wire directly to metal. There is no ground in the factory nissan harness. If you used a harness to adapt to the factory wiring, look on the other side where the ground wire is. Chances are if you don't have a bose system in it, then there is not a ground wire on the factory side.

Hmm.. well he had the bose system

I didnt install his aftermarket deck.

But we are getting power to the lcd just a question of how much power. enuff?

I think the problem is where i grounded the brake wire. I grounded it to the same ground wire as the deck and im thinkin it knows that and is not letting me see a picture...

its a $100 innovatek 6.5" flipout from dash no motor... mp3superstore.com

Im going to be running a wire from the battery whats the easiest way to get it in the car? my car had a hole thru the firewall with a rubber grommet very easy to access...
