need help w/ radio

I have a mustang with the mach 460. I have installed a new head unit with the amp integration kit from crutchfield. I have a lanzar radio and there is distoration with i turn up past 3/4. Also i have subs installed and the stock subs do not play at all anymore. Besides the bass from the subs in the trunk the system sounded a lot better while it was stock. I am either going to reinstall the stock radio and tap into the rear speakers for the subs, or if the radio is not that good just get a new hu. What do you guys think. If you are not familiar with the mach 460 it has 460 watts, 3 amps and 4 subs.
