Need help using fused distribution blocks

I am installing 3 items in my car:

1) JBL MS-A1004 4-Channel Amplifier (internally fused at 60A).

2) JBL MS-A5001 Monoblock Amplifier (internally fused at 80A).

3) JBL MS-8 Sound Processor (internally fused at 25A).

I am using 2 KnuKonceptz KNF-23 fused distribution blocks to help me keep everything clean. One is fused for each item to wire up to the positive terminal (30A for MS-8, 60A for 4ch, 80A for Mono). The instruction manual suggested/required that there was inline fuses in addition to the internal fuses.

The other is just installed with "links" in the fuse section to use for ground distribution.

I plan on using 0ga wire to the positive battery terminal to "feed" the fused distribution block, and then from each of them I'll be using 2x 4ga (4ch & mono) and 1x 8ga (for the MS-8). Same deal for the ground.

My primary (only) battery is in the trunk of my car already, so my question is, how long can/should I run the 0ga for until I put the distribution blocks into action? I've read that I am supposed to put the blocks no more than 18 inches from the ground point/battery ... but I feel like maybe running a longer 0ga and shortening up my smaller gauge runs would be "better"?

Any advice here? All said and done I don't think there's going to be much more than 10ft of wiring.

Like I said maybe 10ft of wire between the amps and the battery/ground. The reason for the blocks is to fuse the power to the amps (the manual for these amplifiers said I needed fuses in-line).

You can inline fuse the wire straight to the battery.

Battery ------->fuse------->amp

If you already have everything and want to use it, then you should be good. Make your runs as short as possible, and sand the ground point clean.

I know that is an option. As I stated, I have the blocks to keep wiring simple/organized.

My question is where along the 0ga run should I put the blocks? Closer to the battery or amps?
