Need help understanding a mono amp

Friend of mine just bought a sony 1000W mono class D amp. He also bought jl 10" w3. How would he hook this up to he amp? the DVC confused me and also im not clear on how mono blocks work. Also, would 1 ft^3 sealed box be good for the w3?

what model is it... what are the ohm ratings for each VC?

the reccomended sealed box volume, as per jl, is 0.60 to 0.90 cf. depending on the displacement of the sub itself it may be a little to small. go to the http://www.jlaudio.com site for box designs and specs.

The DVC is rated at 250w rms at 4 ohms for the w3

the sony amp is rated for 600w RMS x 1 into a 2ohm load. therefore you should wire the voice coils in parallel. (all + to + and all -to -). hope this helps!
