need help, type r box

just recently purchase a 12 alpine type r from a fellow board member. i put it in a 1.5 cu ft ported prefab box just like the ones sold on ebay. yeah i know, bad choice but i think its a decent setup as alpine recommends 1.75 but thats not a big difference. now my question is would putting it in a 2.0 cu ft box make a big difference? i went from a p3 to w3 to this type r in the same box. loved how the p3 sounded sq wise but the output wasn't there. the w3 was plain shitty( needs a sealed box?) now to this type r. im some what satisfied with this setup but i want it to push a little more air while still keeping the sq, would the 2cuft box do it? if so would anyone in the sacramento area build me one for $50. thanks

from the parameters i could find, the calculated flattest response for a type r 12 is 1.82ft^3 at 27 hz

thanks guys, so getting a new box will fix my issue?

thanks dman, will that box config give me a little of everything? ( a flat response that has good sq but will be able to push air when turned up?)

how will that box size sound fiverman?

1.82 at 27 will yield -3db at 26hz....yes a little of everything with no peaks

2.2 at 35 will yield -3db at 29hz, but will have a peak of +4db at 39hz
