Need help sealing off trunk.

I was wondering if I had to seal the rear deck off as well. Because there are holes for the trunk to open like hinges are there. And there are holes for the seat belts. This is all on the rear deck.

So how do I properly do this? I already have the spaces around the box sealed off.

alright thanks for the info so far. I don't have access to sound deadener in my town. So I guess I'll use duct tape. I used expanding foam around the box.

I don't want to use it on the rear deck though because it may mess up the seat belts or the trunk opening.

I just duct taped every hole I could find in the rear deck. Does the tape actually stop the bass from getting into the trunk? I'm hoping this is worth it.

Very true, nothing in my trunk latches anymore its all messed up with great stuff. I will never do it again, Sealing the box off yes, make sure you tape everything off first so it don't directly bond to anything like carpet or plastic, its really messy when applied, and a super pain to get off your fingers. Be careful
