need help quick!

ok so i just got my mojo in, went straight to the truck, hooked it up. power light comes on.

try setting the gains with a DMM. doesn't read any voltage on the screeen no matter how i turn it up. i hook up a sub to it, play some music...no power to the speaker. tried swapping the RCAs around every way, didnt work. checked voltage at the amp, it's getting 12v like it should.

can someone please help me out...i'm starting to think this might be the amp...

well, im no expert and this may sound like a dumb *** question but are you sure you have it in the correct section to measure voltage? Also shouldn't the amp be getting around 14.4 volts with the vehicle running? Not trying to sound like an *** . . . .

yes, its in the correct mode to measure voltage. and it's car off...it doesnt work with the truck running either.

if your amp doesnt work in either situation check(in no particular order just check them): fuses-inline and ones in the amp(if it has any), grounds for the amp, and the remote turn on lead coming from the HU, and the positive wires, make sure all crimps/connections are tight

ya, checked every wire possible. everything was 14v+.

all fuses were good.

Run a line out from a mp3 player as the source using an adapter cable and you can make sure that it is not your deck and just the amp.

check the amp then, see if it smells bad, youll know if it is, its a tough smell to not notice, my 2000x's smell real bad when they go up

ya, thats why i didnt think it was gone...my herc stank up a whole room when the power supply went.

thats usually what goes on mine the power supply but when you run them like i do, yea they say F U kinda quick

maybe it got dropped during shipping and something broke if it doesnt smell bad
