hi, I have a 98 ford Ranger Standard cab and i was going to buy a pair of JL Audio Subwoofers 12W6v2 - 12" Subwoofer. and i was wanting to know if i would have enough room or would i have to get 10" subwoofers

Thanx

You might try calling some local installers and ask

them about what they have installed in a Ranger.

I know the 12W6v2 will work in small enclosures(.9 - 1.5cu ft)

but the actual depth of that sub will be the issue.

12W6v2=7.6in. depth

10W6v2=6.9in. depth

I'm sure it's going to come down to how far you want

to have your seats pushed forward to make room

for the subs.

My son has a 97 reg cab. We made a wedge shaped box that goes behind the seats and fits under the lip of the back wall. 36" long, 4-1/2" at the top and 6-1/2" at the bottom. The seats are up one notch. We ended up with Kicker Comp VR8's because the 10's we tried (JL 10W0) were too deep. I thing Rangerman has 12's in his, but I dunno which ones he used.

yeah i think i am up to it i dont mind doing a lot of work

hey does any have a good idea on amps i could buy what size amps do u think i need for 2 jl audio 10w6v2 subwoofers
