I have a Pioneer DE-P5900IB head unit, And In the Front JL Audio C2 components (4ohm 50-100w), stock speakers in the rear powered by head unit.I have a Alpine PDX4.100 amp which was powering the front JL c2's, and also powering 2 Alpine type-s 10" subs at 2 ohms with the rear channel of the alpine bridged. I realized the alpine amp can run 100x4 at 2 ohms But bridging the channels its only capable of 4 ohms, so in other words running the subs at 2 ohms isnt good.
So heres the question. I took the subs out of the picture and decided i would rather run the JL C2's bridged to get the 200W a channel to them. But when I tried hooking them up I can't figure out how to wire them bridged. and what setting to use. And when i tried to bridge them and use channel 1 or 2 the amp shuts off. Or if I run them not bridge both speakers work but act as only a right speaker together. (so when I fade speakers to the left both shut off not matter where i hook them in on the amp.) It's confusing the crap out of me. It worked fine when the c2's were runnning with the subs now its all messed up. And keep in mind I'm only using one set of rca's. Just the front out. Please help me run these C2's Bridged with no subs.
