Need Help!!!! Please

Hi,

Im not familar with car stereos at all, and i think I did something wrong today. Just bought a car few months ago. Came with a 300wt amp and 10inch sub. I could never get the sub to work. So today I tried to figure it out myself. I made sure everything was wired right. It was all tight. I decided to see if it was the speaker or amp so I spliced the speaker wire off a rear seat 6x9. Hooked speakerwire from amp to the 6x9. There was sound. Hooked the speaker up to the speakerwire from the radio and nothing. In the process of all this I accidentally had the output speaker wire from the amp connected to the speakerwire from the radio it did something to my radio. Smoke came from dash and there was a burnt smell. Radio shut off and my instrument panel doesnt work, no speedo, gas gauge, or rpm gauge. Checked fuses and blew a 15a power accesory fuse. The one that is connected to dash, pwr mirrors, and radio. None of these work now. Bout pack of fuses at store everytime i put a new fuse in it blows it right away. Can anyone tell me what I did? whats broken, or shorted and any ideas how to fix this myself? Dont really have money to spend for someone to fix it. Ohh and my car is a 1999 pontiac firebird with a factory radio/cd player if that helps? Someone please help me!!! Just want my radio and dash back!!

I think they ran new speaker wire and the speakers were not hooked up to that wire. and you fried your head unit. If you need real help let me know aim me at reimermatt and i can guide you threw what might of rely happened and all.
