which system would be be the best spl/sq combo -- an Adire Tempest in a 2.0 cu ft sealed box (750rms)or a Dual Audiobahn tuned 12" Bandpass System(400x2 RMS). I would be running them on a Soundstorm 1600 watt amp. PLEASE RESPOND FAST!!!!!

well bandpass boxes unless specificly built for a sub or combo of subs will not perform ideally....so i would say go w/ the sealed...good luck...ported would be better tho

the bandpass system is an Adiobahn loaded box, so the box already came with the subwoofer.

audiobahns prefab boxes are crap..

it will be louder, but will sound even worse than the audiobahns would ahve normally..

The tempest, (in a proper box) will still be obscenely loud....

sorry to dissapoint you, but the tempest is only available as a 15" driver...

boxesa re suprisingly easy to build...

go grab some 3/4" MDF form home depot, some liquid nails, 100 wood screws, and some good quality silicon caulking..

grab a box program, (WinISD is one of the better ones) use the info the manufaturer gives you as far as volume and tuning, and start up the table saw...
