need help picking subs for 1990 mustang coupe

hey hows it going, im new to the forum and have a 1990 mustang coupe. it has alpine speakers all the way around powered by an alpine v power amp. i had a 12" type r in a ported box, but i blew it. it was powered by an alpine mrp-m1000 amp. im now looking for a new set of subs or sub. i don't have a lot of space in my trunk. i can fit a box about 12"h x 12"d x 35" w. i was looking at maybe getting 2 10" kicker cvx's or 1 12" kicker cvx. my amp produces 600rms at 4ohms or 1000rms at 2ohms. i mostly listen to hip hop and rock, but mostly hip hop.

what do you guys think would be a good set up for my car. 1 12" sub or 2 10" subs?? also sealed or ported?

2 10's ported as it will be louder and good for rap

why not 2x 10" type R's they are $100 each currently and you can always get a 1500w amp in the future to get more from them
