Need Help Picking Sub Setup

Right now I have 3 bass inferno 10' with a Rockford Fosgate BD 1000 in the back of a 05 Nissan Pathfinder with the 3rd row seats down. I recently had a Kicker L7 15' hooked up to the Fosgate in the same car and loved how much bass it provided. I want something similar to the L7 in terms of bass and could always use more bass as long as it doesn't distort the sound to much. The bass infernos are pretty good for the price I paid with the box (100$) but I want something that slams. I still have my box that I had the L7 in so I could use that if needed. I'm looking to spend around 300$ maybe a little more if I have to. Open to ANY setup that is going to hit hard as hell without distorting to much bass. Oh one more thing, I have another battery that I can hook up in case I am having power issues but I'm not sure if it would make a difference with the Fosgate I have now.

Thanks

300-350$ for the sub + box. I have a ported 15' box that my L7 was in that was supposedly built to specs but I'm not sure about that or how well it will do with other subs. I'm expecting to have to get a different box but I have it just in case.

Yea i still have the Fosgate. The sheet says 1400RMS at 1 ohm and from what I hear it's a pretty beastly amp, I like it.

as long as the box is ay least 3 cubic ft and ported tuned to 32 htz it would be louder.you could even replace the front baffle on the L7 box to fit my sub
The box is at my other house but I'll check it out and let you know. Anyone else have any other suggestions?

15" square sub has about the same cone area as 18" round.... just saying.

OP, if you like the L7, why not buy one of those? You can get them used for under your budget and you won't need to throw money into a new box.

I've heard good things all over this forum about SA, was actually the first subs I looked at when deciding what to get. Out of the ones you posted which do you think would be the best in terms of not needing a specific box. I would like to use my old l7 box if I can but if it will make a huge difference to get a new box then I will do it. Anything to help get as much bass as possible. Also, would it be worth it to hook up an extra battery to my car or would it not make a difference?

I would like to get a new sub so I don't have to get anything else for awhile. When I first got my l7 it was used and the voice coils burned up after 8 months. Also, I hear a lot of people around here say that there are much better options than the l7 so I was just wondering what I had to choose from. I loved my l7 and if I could find one brand new for like 300-350 then I would jump all over it (but I guess a lot of people would :p).

the box means everything and you need to get a custom box built regardless. sa will get lower but the hdc3 will be louder, just depends on what u want
Are there any recommended sites for building boxes? I'm thinking of going with the hdc3. Around how much do you think the right box will be for it?
