I would also drop the 16 volt idea and stick with 14 unless you plan to have a separate charging system.

Just get a 14 volt setup and nothing 16 volt and you won't have to worry about the charging system.

Other then your alt upgrade I would get a few batteries as well. Just to keep everything happy. Be sure to do the big 3 and ensure that all wiring connections are as good as they can get.

I would also say for more help, get some dimensions from the trunk that you have to work with. That would help all of use figure out what may or may not work in the trunk.

My Solo X 12s are working on their 6th year in my truck. If you have the power I'd recommend them, especially since you're familiar with Kicker subs and how loud they get on music.

Make sure when you measure that you don't just measure the trunk. Make sure the enclosure will slide in as well. If not, then it will need to be built in the trunk.

get the max dimensions of your trunk and if you can fit 3 12s ported then do it, dc,sa, and skar are all great products. and then get a box design by pro-rabbit.

Subwoofer Wiring Diagrams, Three 4 ohm Dual Voice Coil (DVC) Speakers

Dual 4 wired to 8 ohms per sub is 8 / 3 = 2.67. Dual 4 wired to 2 ohms per sub is 2 / 3 = 0.67

Dual 1 wires to 2 ohms will yield 0.67, and if wired to .5 each then it's .5 / 3 = 0.17

Dual 2 ohm works as well with a 1.33333 or .33333 options.
