Need help picking head + speakers

Hey guys I'm a total noob to car audio and this forum. Recently I bought a 1993 Eagle summit wagon as a first car. The car itself is great but the audio system is terrible. Mids are barely anywhere to be found and base is out of the question!

My question to you knowledgeable folks is:

• Is it possible to upgrade the head unit (1 din) the front speakers (2, 4") and the back (2, 6x9s) for around 300-350 CAD (230-270 USD)
  
• If yes to the above what brands/models should I go with
  
• Would it be hard to install all of this my self

if you never plan on upgrading with amps and stuff in the future I suggest that high power sony

crutchfield says your car could fit 6.5 inch in the front doors, I suggest using the rest of the budget getting the best you can for that speaker location and ignore the rest or upgrade them later

The front speakers are definitely 4" and they're mounted below the dash not on the doors. The doors are solid so I would have to cut holes in order to fit 6.5" which I would rather not do unless necessary.

Also that head unit would cost almost all of my budget.

As for upgrading with an amp in the future its not out of the question but I think that may be out of my depth in terms of electrical. How difficult would it be to add an amp?
