I need some help picking out a large amplifier for a new 06 RE Audio XXX 12 I just purchased. I'm gonna be putting it in the spec size ported box and I was wondering if any of you guys had any recommendations on what to pick. I have an amp right now that I got for a really good price from a friend new but I didn't know if it would be good enough for the sub. I have one of the Alphasonik 1000 HCA's It puts out "3000 watts" at 1 ohm. I've never had it benched so I have no idea what the true rating is. Anyone think this amp should be fine or what should I look into getting? I'm gonna try and sell this amp and/or trade it with some cash for an amp if possible. I don't know enough about these XXX's to know what to put on them in all reality. I've always been in the smaller class stuff and just now am stepping up to the bigger badder stuff.
