Well lets see. What do you like about the Onkyo? Like, what does it do well?
I was told that Harmon Kardons are better for music as opposed to movies than most receivers.
1) Ive always hated remotes on everything electronic I buy. I hate my dads yamaha receiver remote. The onkyo remote is awesome, and maybe thats stupid but I hate little gay *** remotes. Its a beast and it does everything you need it to, plus its laid out perfectly. I love the remote. I hate using remotes on everything else cuz they feel weird or something. If I had one remote to control everything it would be the Onkyos.
2) TONS of features, and if you look up the TX-SR600 you will see its called a "Bang for the buck" receiver. It has a TON of inputs and outputs, tons of features, GREAT SQ, low thd, looks sleek, does everything you need it to do, and does plenty of rated power.
3) For its time, has the latest surround-decoding chips ie. 6.1 dolby ex and dts es. It has TONS of different modes and stuff, I havent even began to use them all. Also supports Dolby Pro Logic II.
4) hdtv friendly... 50mhz component-video-switching capabilities
5) really easy to setup and use. my dads is a pain in the ***, I cant even figure out how to get it work half the time, i have to just use TV volume most of the time lol. never had an issue with mine.
more but i dont feel like typing it out. great little receiver.
