Need help/opinions

I really dont know anything about subs or car audio in general. i just bought a box for my ram 1500 that goes under the rear seats. anyways...i need to get 2 tens but was hoping to spend no more than ~$160 on the set. What are some good subs for $80 each? I know this wont give me the best quality and stuff but its all I can afford, and I also don't need something thats gonna break my glass either so these should give a little extra bump just fine

Your enclosure is perfect for a pair of these:

These subs are very sensitive, so they'll get fairly loud with a smaller amp minimizing the expense and the drain on your electrical system, and their sound quality may surprise you. Good luck.

well i already have an alpine 1000watt amp...is that still a good sub for the amp that i have? I'm going to be running 2 subs off of the one amp...

Yes, but they wouldn't be right for your enclosure.

I suggested that sub, because I tested it in an enclosure almost the same volume as yours and was impressed with its performance. If you had a smaller box, I would have suggested something else. I don't recommend gear that I haven't heard for myself.

That box would actually be suitable for 2 Kicker CVR 10's. And they will match your amp perfectly (400-500W each). $80 each new. It will by no means break glass or shake buildings, but you'll be suprised at what they can do for their size and price.

I have not tested the Kickers in my own system. The ones I'd heard in another install sounded like fart cannons; they essentially played a single note. I can't really comment on their overall performance without working with them in my own car. Don't get me wrong; I've heard better subs than the Blaupunkts, but not in that price range relative to the enclosure at hand.
