need help on XXX attn: David

he told me not to touch it...and besides: we are on our 4th driver...we dont want to settle for a personally glued-on dustcap. it would rattle like hell anyways.
and capone...yea you told me so //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

You were told not to glue the dustcap back on?? It's a fairly simple process. I sure wouldn't pay to send a woofer back 3-4 times just because the dustcap isn't glued on properly...

the other 2 times include 2 things that were out of Adire's control..not dustcaps popping off.

1) UPS mangled one

2) A local car audio shop burned the **** out of one. > recone

gluing a dustcap back on might be simple, and i did suggest it to josh, but after the other 2 times, we just want a flaw-free driver.

edit~ btw, we arent paying...i dont think.

Personally speaking if my driver worked "flawless" I would be bragging all over the place and giving adire a great name. Hell even with my broken subs I got my friend to buy a tempest for his room stereo. But I also think that it's important for other people to know about these problems. EVEN if adire replaces the driver no questions asked it still takes 2-3-4 weeks to get it back. I've been out 400 bucks since mid summer with nothing to show for it, yet I still helped adire with a sale. In these instances I think opinions should be flowing both ways. People should know if a company has some problems.

If a dustcap is THAT simple to glue on. Why do they come off in the first place? I'm just curious. Does the glue become week through shipping or something. And what kind of glue is used? Elmers/hot glue/gorilla glue/epoxy?

i feel you lombardo, but lets please not start another one of these threads. every single time that a driver was damaged by someone other than adire, they took it back from me in speedy fashion, and with great ease and cooperation.

apparently the company that builds adire's subs used the wrong glue.
