Ok guys forgive me b/c im kinda new to car audio.......I'm gonna be running a JBL1200.1 on two ED 15K's. My 90 amp alternator is gonna get rewound to 150 before I put the amp in, but I have heard that I will need to upgrade the "big 3" wires under the hood to 0/1 gauge wire. What exactly are these wires/where are they located? Would someone be willing to give me a step by step process of how to replace the wires, what kind of terminals I will need for connections, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yea, roughly how many feet of wire will I need? My Car is a 92 cutlass supreme.....10, 15 feet? Any ideas?

Thanks a lot guys!!

dont think you'll need to go as high as 0ga.....i'd thinkg 4 or 2 ga would be suffecient(sp?).....they are from the alt to batt....the batt ground....and the alts ground....and try to keep the wire as short as possible

Thanks... what kind of terminals would I need? Would crimp-style be fine? How many would I need, 6?

Is there anything special I need to know besides that?

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it

Speaking of upgrading the wire from the alt to the battery. I have some xtra wire left over from my amp install and was going to upgrade the wire from the batt to the chassis ground and batt to the alt. The onlyl problem is there is no wire running from the alt to the battery directly. It runs to something else than the battery and was wondering if it was alright to run a wire directly from the alt to the battery. I dont know whether this is a good idea since there is no wore from the alt to the battery directly. Any help is greatly appreciated:)
