need help on enclosure!

hi was wondering if anyone could help me find out roughly how many cubes my enclosure is internaly and what its tuned to. the box is 33"w 14.5"h and 26"deep. the port area opening is 6"w and 13"h so 78" of port. the box is single layer all around except the front which is double baffled and the box is for 2 12's. so with those dimensions can anyone tell me how many cubes my box is internally and what its tuned to? thx!

the port is in the middle of the box and both ends go 17.5 deep.

Without knowing the thinkness of the wood and how it is assembled. My guess would be about 5 to 5.5 cu ft. And tuned in the high 30's (36-39Hz).

That's my best estimate without running the numbers.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

by net volume do you mean internally or externally? also holy **** 42hertz?also how would i found out driver displacement? if it helps theyre type r 12's

Alpine should be able to tell you what the driver displacement of a 12" Type R is. Multiply that by 2 and you have total driver displacement. It will affect total internal (net) volume and tuning.

Internal Volume = Net Volume

just crunched some numbers; depending on 3/4'' wood, i got about 4.6 cubes tuned to 43hZ using Apline's specs at .071cu per sub.

i dont know how my box can be tuned to 43hertz yet it hits soo low still//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif i did notice the sub got quite louder though than the last small ported box i had my type r's in but this box is huge and its tuned to 42hertz?? somehow i dont believe the tuning on this box
