Need help on choosing amp ?

I just got my first vehicle its a 93 F150 and wanna put a killa system in it but have no idea on what amp to get. I dont really know anything about car audio to be honest with ya. I wanna run the 4 speaksers that are in the truck witch i will probably upgrade them to better speakers as i get the money plus 2 12" amps as my budget allows them. I dont know a thing about this so could you guys help me. Rather i need a mono, 2, or 4 channel and what other kinda specs i need to watch for. Thanks!

I wouldn't really recommend amping your factory speakers, nor keeping the rear speakers. But get yourself a nice head unit and build from there, you can run the factory speakers off the HU power until you get new speakers (preferably components for the doors) loose the rear speakers, add a 2 channel amp for the components, then add in the subs and sub amp accordingly. Here are some threads to check out that may help you in your research. Oh and welcome, this place has endless resources, searching and just lurking around reading will most likely net you the most knowledge.
