Need help now, subs being weird

Ok I just got my first set up and literally know nothing, Im running one of the original square kicker 12s solo baric and a 1600 watt amp...when I dont play music the sub sits there and just like pulses loudly like its breathing creepy. What could it be?

Cant take video at the moment....just goes "bump-bump...bump-bump...etc" anf believe its audiotek or something like that

Its an autotek 1600 watt amp and the sub is a L5 solo bark kicker 12
