I recently decided to buy a sound system and I asked for help on multiple websites/forums. bigaudiofanati2 Was the only one who went out of his way to help me find the right equipment for the right price. He also gave me lots of helpful tips to help me set it up correctly and get the most out of my sound system.
He was so helpful that I almost feel guilty taking so much advise from him for free.
One hell of a guy in case anyone else needs help go to him first!!!!
First of all, I would like to thank MATT for doing a fantastic job installing DNX6140(rear cam + SIRIUS) in my month old 09 370Z. His work was very professional. He took his time and made sure everything was done right. I personally believe there's a big difference between people who installs car audio for living and those who does it for satisfaction, passion and learning. Matt def has a passion for this stuff and you can tell by simply talking to him. EVERY single connection was soldered and them heat shrinked to the perfection! I am VERY satisfied with this install and I wouldn't hesitate recommending him to any of my friends/colleagues or local forum member(s).
What was installed in the Z:
DNX6140
RearView Cam
SIRIUS Satellite Radio
Install:
Install started faily easy. 370Z was very similar to 350Z. I did my own install in my old 350Z and he recently did a White 350Z, therefore this wasn't a big challenge. He worked very carefully without making any scratches or damage. EVERYTHING was done the way it suppose to be. Matt is very easy to work with and always willing to take suggestions (as oppose to some of the other installers out there who thinks "they are ALWAYS right").
When it was time to put the GPS and SIRIUS antennas, I opted the front dash. I didn't want ANY obstruction. Both GPS and SIRIUS working perfectly at the moment. GPS is VERY quick at calculating(recalculating). I have yet to hear ANY static on the SIRIUS.
Matt, feeding the backup cam wire through a hole.
I like this microphone placement here. I called my mom and she said that she couldn't even tell I was using the car handsfree.
As you can see in the videos, the reverse cam wasn't turning on when I put the car in reverse. That's because Kenwood USA defaults the unit to " R-Cam interruption = OFF" from the factory. It took me couple days, friends help and research to figure it out. I simply changed the value to "YES" in the A/V settings and it works perfectly. Thanks for the clean, error less install Matt. You've done a fantastic job //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif
