need Help JL 1000/1

i have a JL 1000/1 monoblock and i cant find the wireing Schematic for it anywere does anybody know were i could find it need to get this thing fixed

Is the pre-amp voltage switch set wrong and/or the gain set too high?

to u the truth i have no idea about the pre-amp voltage or the final ohm load sorry i was told by another guy on another forum to get ahold of Msmith i called JL and they want like 180 to fix it

you should probably read into those things before spending money on something that may not be broken

ive got a amp power acoustic 920wtt pushing a pair of visonic dvc 400wtts each. Every time i connect the amp jacks it give me a red led protector light. What am i doing wrong? Or do i need to ground the amp jacks? If so where? Im installing in a 97 cutlass surpreme

Could be more than likely clipping, your gain/bass boost is probally set much higher, and therefore, causing the amp to clip. Like I said, just a possibility.

ok ive turned them way down as low as it can go and im still gettn a red led light. anything else u could advise me?

OP I would make sure its the amp before paying for repair. Verify what the others have mentioned. Also what size wire are you on? Make sure the ground is good. Make sure your not running the ohm load to low. Is this a 1000/1 V2? There is a signal sensing switch you should turn off if your using a remote wire.
