I have a 13W7 and was thinking of getting a 1000/1 but it's mire than the t1500-1bdcp which would give it more than 1000 watts at 3 ohms. Is this a good idea? I don't wanna over power the sub but I do wanna make my W7 BANG!! lol let me know what y'all think! thanks guys!

So you think I would burn up the voice coil? It would see around 1200 rms and it's rated at 1500 watts max. I didn't think I would over power it but didn't know. Which is why I'm asking lol

You can use a 3000rms amp on a 750rms sub and be fine. You just have to set it up correctly.

If you crank the gain and beat the ***** out of the sub, then yes you'll see smoke.

oh ok, so I would need to wire it to three ohms and turn th pe gain down a little? Or what should I do?I was thinking about the 1000/1 but want that extra thump the rf would give me lol

It would be a good choice. Set your gain with a dmm, there are several guides & stickies online.
You can't 'hear' distortion w/a DMM nor should you use a DMM with an unregulated amp.

The question isn't if the OP will smoke his new sub; it's how quickly he will.
