i have a chance to get 2 ap1800 or a jbl gto2400 for around the same price just wana get some opinions on what you guys would choose,im not looking at strickley just power but quality and resale value

JBL will walk all over those 2 ap amps also with the JBL you are getting harmon kardon made quality stuff vs budget cheap stuff with the AP amplifiers.

JBL = quality and Power, those amplifiers are severly underrated and extremly well built.

Sure the AP might be a better bang for the buck but you honestly get what you pay for.

well of course the jbl has better quality. but not as much power as two 1800's strapped..

the two 1800s strapped @ 1 ohm will do close to 4k on a solid electrical. Remember these amps do rated, but are rated at 14v.

I second this, the JBL won't make as much power as two AP 1800s strapped most likely. However, the JBL is superior in almost every other way.

Does anybody know which amplifier is more efficient?

exactly rated power would be 3600, that's not close to 4k.

hard choice... sure you can get two ap 1800s strapped to see 4k, but clipping or what?

but you are guranteed a cleaner 3k..

the JBL though, no worries about problems imo.

way better looking amp.
