need help: Ipod issues

so i borrowed a cd from my gf to rip to mp3's. and i wanted to add them to my ipod. i pulled my ipod outta my car and plugged it in to my computer. itunes is saying i need to restore my ipod because its in recovery mode. so i tried that and it still keeps saying it. i also tried installing the latest update of itunes, restarting my computer, and restarting my ipod. nothing is working. i dunno WTF is going on. it was working perfectly fine in my car, now itunes is saying its broken?

maybe uninstall itunes, and delete it from your registry. then re-install.

i would definitely say heat killed your hard drive, time for a new iPod, although then again my 30gig iPod does the same thing in my car and I live in Florida so maybe not...
