Hi all.
I am new to this forum and juat installed my system. I am new at this so bear with me.
HU: Alpine 9885
Amps: Arc Audio KAR 300.4 and 300.2
Crossover: Arc Audio MX-1
Speakers: Morel Hybrid Ovations
Sub: Arc Audio ARC12D2
RCA's are for a home theater, Proflex is the brand, gold plated terminals. Wiring is monster cable.
I have the speakers in the stock locations, tweets in the A pillars and mids in the doors.
For some reason, the sound is not what I expected. Can anyone help me with the crossover settings, gains and such?
Right now I have the active xover set at 65hz for the sub with 1/3 gain and 80hz for the mids and highs set at ~1/2 gain. Amp gains are set to min. I also get static noise through the speakers at low volume. Does this have to do with the fact that I am not using car rca's but rather home audio rca's? Its like my tweets are flat and am lacking mids, really bad. Will insulationg the doors help?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance,
-Andrew
Edit: Forgot to specify that I am looking for an SQ setup, not SPL.
