Need Help Identifying Sub Box

actually I just bought it, I'm planning on using two jl audio 10w6's and I would like to look at the manufacturers website so I know a little more about it. heres a pic of the front.

what does that mean tuned to high? not enough space?
any box with some type of port/vent has a tuning. whatever the box is tuned to the sub will play loudest at. the downside to prefab boxes is they are generally tuned fairly high, and even more of a downside is most frequencies under the tuning are not played very loud, while coincidently the sub will be moving quite a bit more.

That the tuning frequency is probably too high. For those W6V2's, 1-1.25ft^3 each with a 30-32hz tuning works great...but you're really not going to find a pre-fab box with specs like that. They're generally on the smaller side and tuned in the upper 30's, which is good for loudness but tends to kill the lower bass.

Think of a tuned port like a bottle. You know how when you blow into one at just the right air pressure it naturally hums loudly?/well the same is true for sub boxes depending on the size/length of the port it will resonate naturally very well at a particular frequency. Typically you want that frequency to be in the low 30s to sound really nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Actually, any box has a tuning not just ones with ports.

OP, just get the wood thickness, outside volume of the box, port length, and port area and anything else inside the box and we can figure out tuning for ya.
