need help fixing a sub

I have a soundsplinter rlp 15 d4 and tonight on the way to work it made a starnge noise so I pulled over checked it out and low and behold the **** cone broke.

It has a good size break in it like a 6 inch ) near the surround.

I was told to use some 2 part epoxy on it, but im unsure what will work best to maybe save it.

so please tell what would be ebst to try to glue this thing or is to far gone and in need of reconing.

if its the latter I will sell the **** thing and everything else and I am thru with car audio........

just for an idea what would i be able to sell this thing for in its broken condition, so I know what to ask for it if it dont work.

suggestions on glue and where to get it locally hopefully would be much appreciated.

you need to post some pics, before i could recommend what to use. 2 part epoxy would probably work if it ain't 'too bad'

uploading pics now and i was running the orion @ 2 ohms giving the sub around 1200 watts....not a huge stretch for an rlp to take 1200.

Will it be strong enuff to hold up to the vibrations and movement of the cone?

after gluing this thing will be like it was before, it has preformed great as long as I have had it

umm most likely yes it will hold just fine and sound good but im not to sure tho...but then again it might work just fine and still sound good...

gorilla glue is useless for speaker building DO NOT USE IT ill show u pics in a sec why you dont.

I would recommend using some CA glue, thats what i got on my tc 1000- 10 that did the same thing and its holding fine

make sure you do it about 3inches to each side of the break and on the front and the back

OK i know you are an experience reconer, so I trust what you say, but where can i get CA glue and what is it?

also The break is real close tot he surround so 3 inches will be immpossible.......any good techniques for making this work....sorry for the newb questions.

I googled ca glue and see what it is, what kinda do i need? thin, thick medium viscosity?
