I want to put my 4 w7s in the trunk nof a 02 concord. The trunk is huge I know there is room if the box is designed properly. Im not looking to pay anyone to design or build it just some free help would be nice...

Hopefully that's not impossible I would prefer the box the be ported if possible...but how can I do this any help would be very appreciated

fitting 4 12W7s in your trunk will be virtually impossible without a custom fiberglass enclosure. each sub requires more than 1 cubic foot in a sealed enclosure AFTER driver displacment(and the W7 is a BIG freaking driver.). you are looking at almost 6 cubic feet, and that isnt even ported. ported would require almost double that enclosure size. i think a more realistic aproach would be 4 8W7s or even just 1 13.5W7(very nice driver BTW).

Two 12W7 would not be a problem ported. Four is a challenge for sure. Sealed should be doable if you fire them upwards. Measure the biggest rectangle box that could fit through your trunk opening, and how deep it can go.

If I can fit 5.3 cubes sealed into my Mazda 3. So you should have more room then that.

my mistake, the 12W7 requires a 2.068188 cubic foot enclosure for sealed. the concorde has a big *** trunk(estimated 10ft^3) but you have to leave clerance for the trunk mounts as well as woofer excursion(1.2 inches one way), not to mention amp mounting. and since the 12W7 is pretty power hungry 1K per sub would be nice. so to fit all of that in the trunk CAN be done. but you better have VERY deep pockets. not to mention some **** good ear plugs.

You have the money for 4 W7's - but nothing for a design? If you really want to use all of them look at building a wall. Or just use 2.

JL recommends 1.375 cubes sealed. Plus 0.14 displacement. So you'd need a sealed box with a net volume of just a hair over 6 cubes. Should be okay methinks.

that is odd considering their measurments for the box are 19"X16"X11.75" which works out to 2.08blahblah cubic feet. anyways you would need at least 7 cubes to be efficent with the W7s.

Thanks for the responses and if the box is built for the trunk right the trunk could house maybe 8 to 10 cubes im guessing I will take measurements and pictures and post them...

I have thought about doing only 3 of them the wiring would b more friendly but id planned on wiring at. 67 ohms on a t2000 and if sealed is how I have to go then the box becomes 10 times easier to make but id miss a lot of air flow with sealed.:\ but if that's how its gotta b....
