Need help! First time buying 8".

Hi everbody I'm looking to put an 8" sub in a 2004 Corvette Z06. Box will just be a standard rectangular box that I will build with a slot port (not those crazy "corvette boxes" all over the web). The amp will be an old school Treo SSX 750.1 (that's 750w RMS at 2 ohms). I'm looking to have a 2 ohm load so pushing 750w RMS to the sub. I'm looking at Tc Sounds Epik, DC Audio M3, Sundown SA-8V.2, and the new Treo Te 8. All are 400-500w RMS but I'm sure they can all take more. Some have copper coils and some aluminum. And most are right around 140-160 new except my local Treo dealer wants 300 for the TE for some ungodly reason. Any suggestions?

Everything you mentioned is a good sub. Treo is overpriced though. You may consider a Soundqubed 8

Sundown sa8 , ab vfl 8 (110$ on ebay no warranty), or sound qubed hds300 series. Any of those are great subs.. All u suggested are great subs the treo is way over priced IMHO .. Good luck

Sounds good thanks for the help guys. I have a guy right now who might trade me a DD 1508 BNIB and like $50 for my Fi Q 12. If I can get that deal I might take it.
