Need help finding FREE good clean Music/tracks to download. Suggestions Welcome

I have been getting a bunch of songs off of youtube and for the most part the sound quality is garbage. With my crappy PC speakers they all pretty much sound the same but when I burn 15-20 tracks to a disk and play them on a good system it's easy to detect the lower quality tracks from the cleaner ones. Even the tracks that sound good still are not as "Bright" as the original CD. Is there a way to tell how good the audio track is before downloading the file or is there a place to download music that is Original CD quality w/o paying for it?
