Need help finding an amp for my subs...

Hey everyone. Im looking for a new amp. I ruined my last one because i didn't understand its limitations.

I have two pioneer "1500w" 12s in a sealed box.

The subs are 4ohm each and rms at 400w.

I think i need either a 2 channel amp that provides ~400w at 4ohms or a mono channel amp that'll do 800w rms @ 2ohms.

Problem is, i can't seem to find anything that matches what I'm looking for for less than about $600 which is more than I'd like to spend at the moment.

Can anyone recommend an amp that'll do these subs some decency for around $200?

I also don't know how safe it is to underpower the subs (say an amp that does 300w rms per channel at 4 ohms)

Is this okay?

If so, same question - any recommendations?

You need an amp that does 1000 watts at 2 ohms mono $200 for that amp. Might be a stretch. Unless bought used I can get you close to that power for $200 tho

I had a feeling that might be the case. What did you have in mind that would be close? I don't mind spending more than $200 that was just the budget i have myself not knowing what id need,exactly.
