Need help finding a new head unit! Kinda specific too...

So this'll be my 3rd unit, first two broke... I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler.

Here's the things I'd like to have included:

1) HD Radio (What's your opinion on this? Is it worth it to have? I see a lot of units out there, even new ones, that don't come with this standard. Why is that?)

2) Don't really need a CD player... In fact, I'd rather not have one at all, so just a digital media receiver.

3) Would like a USB port on the front, also an AUX, but that can be done through the back of the unit, and run the wire, which is what I have now.

4) Not just monochrome or like 2 color screen, I want one that has a full color screen. I remember Alpine had one, screen was probably like 1.5"x1.5". Doesn't need to be big, or have GPS, just something so I can see clearly what is playing. (This can be worked with a little, just nothing that has like a 7-segment type display)

5) Detachable front face.

6) Bluetooth for my Android phone (How does this work exactly? Just turn on your BT on your phone and the voice calls will go through the speakers? Also, what about music through BT? Does that work?)

7) $$$ would like to have it be

Obviously finding one specifically like this may be pretty hard (actually really hard as I have not found many...) so please any suggestions you can give me will be greatly appreciated!

Kenwood KDC-BT948HD (Sorry I can't post the URL to this for some reason, spam filter?) This is one that I would definitely go for, but it's a little $$$ and I wanna' see some other units...

jvc avx77 has a nice screen but it has a cd/dvd player behind the single din face. but you can display the album artwork for each song as long as its in the ipod or whatever usb source your using.

Look at the JVC KD-X50BT. Has most of what you want.

Yeah that'd be awesome, but its way too much $$$ and definitely don't need the extra cost of a DVD unit... Thanks though!

Look at the JVC KD-X50BT. Has most of what you want.

Yes, that does have most of what I want, except for the display. Kinda bare bones, nothing special. Also no HD Radio, which is what I mostly will be listening to, as I get to listen to my Zune HD a lot, so radio is a nice change of pace. Thanks

Kenwood KDC-BT948HD is a slightly cheaper version of KDC-X995. One thing I don't like about KDC-BT948HD is that it does not really support time alignment adjustments. There are only preset settings for "big car", SUV, etc. Fake feature IMO. If you spend so much money, you might as well get a unit with time-alignment that works.

If you don't care about CD player, check out Sony DSX-S310BTX. It has good reviews.

What are these "time alignment adjustments" you speak of? Also, while I don't need a CD player, I'm still looking for HD Radio and a nicer display. I've found the Kenwood KIV-701 which is a pretty sick unit, great display, but no HD Radio.

you can get hd radio adapters yo

time alignment lets you set delays on the speakers so the sound hits you at the same time

Very few headunits under 150 come with HD radio, but you can get an adapter for that. I'd get a JVC KD-X50BT and a hd radio adapter if I were you, but that's just me. I know you said you didn't like the display on it.

Don't make a big deal of HD radio. My current HU has it and it's kinda lame IMO. The FM sensitivity is lower than a normal radio and the HD stations go dead suddenly when it loses sync instead of fading out. Not something I'd pay extra for that's for sure. Only good point is there are commercial free HD channels.

Pioneer mvh bt has most of what your looking for color screen,USB in front,Bluetooth hd radio but it's a add on,and it's not a cd player
