Need help figuring out which wiring for my sysytem

I currently have 2 12" Kicker Comp VR dual 4ohm subs that are going to be powered by the Kicker KX850.2 amp. Kicker recommends that people use 2 gauge wiring with that amp. I was wondering if going with the Stinger HPM 4 gauge wiring would be enough or would that cause my amp to run hot & be underpowered? If that's not enough then I'd be going to the Rockford Fosgate Type RF 2 gauge wiring, but I wanted to know what would happen if I went with the Stinger 4 gauge first? It says it's for up to 1400 watts, and the RF says it's for 1500 watts.

4 guage would be fine. Im running a little over 1000 watts RMS and I use 4 guage... actually 5 gauge (**** scoche wiring kit)

But you can never go wrong by going with larger wire... and it leaves you much room to upgrade.

i would run 1/0 guage to the rear with a reducer down to 2 or 4 guage for the amp. it's always good to have the larger wire in case of upgrades.

the 4 guage would be good i guess....but i would go with iceteebone's suggestion
