Need help figuring my ohm load on amp

Before anyone says it I tried using the search and it wasn't working it kept going to a blank screen.

Anyway, I'm looking at running two sets of components (4 mids/4 tweets) off of a 4 channel amp. Will it be running at a 4 ohm load or 2?

Also planning on running one 12" DVC sub. That would put a mono amp into a 2 ohm load correct?

Just trying to figure out which specs to look at while I'm trying to pick out some amps for my system.

Thanks

god **** all you newbee's from Iowa are making us look bad!

the "ohm load" on the amp is dependant on the speakers. for example if you are runing 2ohm speakers the amp with be at 2ohm per channel, if you are running 4ohm speakers, it will be at 4ohm per channel.

same for the sub/amp. if you are running a 4ohm single voice coile teh amp will be at 4ohm, if you are running say a dual 2ohm coild it will be either at 1ohm or 4ohm depending on how you wire it...

Not really a newbee just been out of it for a while and can't remember.

I know the amp will be at 2 ohm etc.. if that's what the speaker is.

I'm looking at getting the PPI 356CS components. They're 4 ohm speakers. So now if the mid is 4 ohm and the tweet is 4 ohm is this putting each channel into a 2 ohm load?

if you run em with the crossover then they will only be at 4 ohms.mid/tweet to crossover and speaker wire from crossover to amp.

Thank you that's exactly what I needed to know. I know how it works on subs and individual speakers but couldn't remember how it all laid out when you're running it through the supplied crossover. Thanks again!
